9. 23 September 2005
Wajima-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture

The supercilium of this individual is rather long and broad in front of the eye.
The yellowish supercilium and underparts are paler than individual observed in early September(as No.4 and 5 in the previous page), but purer than the individual observed in November (as No. 1 to 3 in the previous page).
10. 23 September 2005
Wajima-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture

The same bird as picture No.9.
Note the leggs are dark and the toes are slightly pale.
11. 23 September 2005
Wajima-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture

The same bird as picture No.9 and 10.
The underparts of this individual is dirty yellow and have indistinct dark streaks. This individual fed from 0.5 hight to the crown on low evergreen trees and usually 1m hight.
I have ever observed Willow Warblers in grass field that low trees were grown in patches, small scrub, or forest edge in Japan.
12. 23 September 2005
Wajima-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture

The same bird as picture No.9 to 11.
The call of this individual was heard as 'chui' unlike the other individuals I have ever observed. Cramp(1992) described that commonest call is 'hooet' or 'wheeet' in nominate trochilus and acredula(this call can be heard often in Japan too), sharper 'chweet' in yakutensis-type vagrant. However, I heve ever heard the 'chui' call only in this individual.

13. 23 September 2005
Wajima-shi, Ishikawa Prefecture

The same bird as picture No.9 to 12.
I observed another individual 2 days before. The underparts of the individual is dull white without yellow-tinged undertail coverts and belly. I estimate the individual was an adult and all individuals that I publish this web-site were 1st winter plumages.
14. 26 September 2003

This individual has rather thin supercilium。
15. 2003年9月26日 石川県輪島市

The same bird as picture No.14. The edge of greater coverts are pale, but this is not seen as wing bar.
